Character Archetypes 

Kiva Meridian is the hero in this story. She fits being the hero because she at the end fulfills the task of giving Jaren back his magic and ultimately back his kingdom.

The ally in this story is Jaren. Although he is also the love interest, Jaren is constantly dependable.  Jaren is constantly coming through for the people he cares about. He has saved Kiva’s life multiple times and has always shown to be a person who people trust.

Caldon is the everyman in this story. He is relatable in the sense that he comes from a broken family. Both his parents have passed and he has a sister who he is no longer in contact with, but through all of this trauma he is still one of  the kindest people in the series.
