Project unify brings young men and women, with and without intellectual disabilities together through education, sports, and related initiatives that promote acceptance, respect and human dignity for all students. Some things that people want to prevent at their schools is bullying and exclusion from stereotypes and negative attitudes, eliminating hurtful language, promoting healthy activity and interactions, and are welcoming and value the engagement of all students. Project Unify strives to build an inclusive environment as well as empowering them to be leaders and agents for change.
“I would recommend joining this club because I am in the club it is really fun. You get to help them and it makes you feel good. You get to go to prom with them and get to go on field trips, and also get to be their friend. This club is like a family all of you are together you get to have a lot of fun with your family,” stated April Bartlett.
