When scheduling a meeting, the host can designate other RCSD users to be the alternative host(s). The alternative host can start the meeting on the host's behalf. This user will receive an email notifying them that they've been added as an alternative host, with a link to start the meeting. An Alternate host can be a co-teacher, specials teacher, service provider, administrator, trusted substitute with an RCSD email. You must enter the first.last@rcsdk12.org email in the scheduling section. The alternate host MUST start the meeting by going through ROConnect to be properly authenticated (logged in.)
Both users need to be licensed RCSD users logged in through ROConnect.
Alternative hosts must be logged in to Zoom with the correct RCSDK12.org account in order to be granted the host or co-host permissions
The alternative host can start the meeting by logging into Zoom through ROConnect and "join a meeting" using the join link or meeting ID & Password in the email or calendar invite sent to them by the host. The meeting will not display in the upcoming meetings list.
Alternative hosts can't schedule on behalf of the host. If you need to schedule a meeting on behalf of another user, use scheduling privilege. You can also give another RCSD user scheduling privilege, which allows them to schedule meetings for you and makes them an alternative host for those meetings.
If a host is attending a meeting but needs assistance with managing the meeting, they can assign a co-host during the meeting once it is started. Learn more about roles in a meeting.

If you receive an error, the person you are making an alternative host NEEDS to log into ROConnect and click Zoom to activate their license.
To log into the class, the alternative host must log in through ROConnect, click on Zoom and Join a meeting to ensure they are signed in correctly.
The alternative host bypasses the waiting room.
The alternative host enters the meeting with co-host privileges.
Co-host/alternative host can move between breakout rooms.`
The alternative host can start a meeting.
If the host loses connection in Zoom, the alternative host becomes the meeting host.
