Graduation Requirements

New York State Department of Education requires students to complete a minimum of 22 class credits in specific areas in order to graduate. The image on the left breaks down each subject area. 

In addition to class credits, students also need to pass 5 regents exams with a minimum of 65%. The traditional Regents Pathway was to pass the following Regents’ Exams: English, 1 Math, 1 Science, Global Studies and US History.

Students now have the options of passing 4 Regents’ Exams: 1 Math, 1 Science, 1 Social Studies, 1 English and replacing the 5th exam with a Pathway exam. Please refer to the following link; http://www.nysed.gov/common/nysed/files/programs/curriculum-instruction/diplomarequirementsfinal011019.pdf
