Mary Barrow is the Intensive Support Development Coordinator with Regina Public Schools in the urban community of Regina, Saskatchewan. Mary took on this research during the 2022-23 school year and compiled findings during the 2023-24 school year. This research project has been funded by the McDowell Foundation and was supported by Regina Public Schools.
Mary holds a Masters Degree in Inclusive Education (Special Education) from Acadia University, a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology - Human Relations from Mount Saint Vincent University, and a Bachelor of Education from University of Regina.
Mary is passionate about inclusive education and has a desire to ease the workload of professionals supporting youth, which was the inspiration for this project. By incorporating universal design principles and widening the strategies offered as Tier 1 intervention, into classrooms, it is Mary's hope that there will be a positive impact for learners and adults alike. This project affirmed that possibility.
