Homecoming 2025 included many traditions like Spirit Week, a Friday night football game, and the Homecoming dance. The fun filled Spirit Week began on Monday, October 6, 2025. The theme for Monday was "Nothing but a Backpack". Students from all four grades brought fun and exciting items to school instead of their backpacks. Some of the items were a bird cage, an RC car, strollers, suitcases, a tire, and many laundry baskets. The next few days continued to bring a lot of spirit to the school. Tuesday's theme invited students from each grade level to "dress as your holiday". The theme for Wednesday was "Bikers vs surfers" and the theme for Thursday was "Throwback Thursday". Of course, Friday was the Homecoming football game and the theme was "pink out."
Before the football game, the members of the homecoming court were announced.
Freshmen homecoming representatives were: Emma Wunderle, Abigail Myers and Kael Jordan. Braelyn Berg and Carsyn Swauger represented the sophomore class; Matilyn Brode and Tyler Nichols represented the junior class. The seniors on the homecoming court were as follows: Giana McKamey, Loudon White, Alexia Ramsell, Malena Harper, Miriyha Sandifer, Mason Scott, CJ Ross, Trenton Turney, Ziare Sanders and LaDarion Askew. The 2025 Homecoming queen and king were announced before the football games. Congratulations to Malena Harper and CJ Ross!
Unfortunately, the Ravens did not win the Homecoming game against Streetsboro; the final score was 49-3.
This year the Student Council selected the homecoming theme of "An Enchanted Night" and the dance lived up to the name. The gym was decorated with trees, fairy lights, and a little garden which really made the gym feel just like an enchanted garden. The cafeteria was also beautifully decorated and there was even a photo booth which was a big hit. Everyone seemed to love the flower light up crowns that were available for students to wear. Also, delicious refreshments like lemonade and a cookie platter were available all night.
The dance was exciting and the music was so loud you could hear it outside of the school! There were flashing lights that changed colors with the music which added to the enchanted feeling of the night. The music selection was good, the DJ played several popular songs like " Milkshake" by Kelis and some classics like "I love it" by Icona Pop featuring charli XCX. Overall, Homecoming 2025 was a fun and memorable night for all.

Running for Homecoming Court was a whirlwind mixed with excitement, nerves, and a whole lot of school spirit! It's way more than just a popularity contest; it's a chance to connect with your classmates and create memories that will last way beyond high school. Sure, there's the campaigning – posters, speeches, and maybe even some creative social media blitzes – but that's where the fun begins. Preparation is key. Think about what makes you unique and how you can represent your class. Get involved in school activities, show your support for different clubs and teams, and most importantly, be yourself! Authenticity shines through. It's also about teamwork. Enlist your friends to help with your campaign, brainstorm ideas, and spread the word. The best part? Homecoming Court brings everyone together. It's a chance to celebrate school pride, build friendships, and create a positive atmosphere. Whether you win or not, the experience is unforgettable. You'll step outside your comfort zone, learn new skills, and make connections that can last a lifetime. So, embrace the challenge, have fun, and make Homecoming Court a truly memorable experience for everyone!
Homecoming can be an incredibly stressful occasion, with girls spending hours preparing to look their absolute best. On top of that, there's the nerve wracking experience of running for court. This entire scenario had me on edge all day, questioning if I was kind enough to others or if I truly deserved this opportunity. I am so grateful that my peers saw me worthy of being nominated for queen. It was such a privilege, and honestly, it made my night so much more enjoyable. I'm also very thankful that homecoming lined up with my 18th birthday, making that day even more special, not just for me but for everyone around me.
For this to be my last ever homecoming, it was upsetting. A lot of people didn't have fun and didn't like the music that was playing. For the past three years, I've had a blast. But this year, not so much. Yes, my friends and I still end up dancing and having somewhat of a fun time so that is what matters. I enjoyed the time that I got to spend with my friends because I know that after graduation I won't be able to have experiences like this again.
This year was my first ever Homecoming and, in all honesty, it could have been better. I went with a small group of my friends and I think that was what saved the night, because the dance itself was kind of lacking everywhere. The DJ was what really disappointed me because it felt like he kept playing the same songs over and over again, and the majority of the songs he chose were from forever ago, and not in a good way. It was really fun to dress up though even if it was just for a few hours.
