Student Services

Special Education/ Guidance/ ESL

As required by the state memo, we need to "address the provision of appropriate special education and related services for students with disabilities." Therefore, students who have will still need to be provided accommodations or modifications per their IEP, 504, or ELL plan.

  • Student progress will be monitored and feedback provided online by special education teachers when appropriate, with the opportunity to communicate directly during scheduled times.

  • Child Study Team members should send a proactive email to their caseload and be available via email to answer parental inquiries.

  • Understanding that the closure of schools does not eliminate the support our students need from counseling, our CST members will be available via (i.e. email, Google Hangout, etc.) throughout the period of remote learning.

  • Related service providers will email resources/activities home and will be available for consultation during school hours. Upon returning to school, the IEP team will determine if additional services are required.

  • Understanding that the closure of schools does not eliminate the support our students need from counselors, our guidance teams will be available (i.e. email, Google Hangout, etc.) throughout the period of remote learning.

Please coordinate directly with your supervisor before and during an extended closure as they will be your main point of contact and support.
