Our staff arrives approx. ½ to 1 hour prior to your child’s arrival. Daily fees are based upon this and not necessarily on the number of hours your child is enrolled.

MORNING HOURS: 6:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. or Start of School *We do not allow drop off any earlier than 6:30. Sign-in prior to 6:30 a.m. will result in a $1 per minute early arrival fee.
AFTERNOON HOURS: 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. - Students signed out after 6:00 p.m. will result in a $1 per minute late pick-up fee.
Early Release – 11:30/or (when school lets out) to 6 p.m. regular afternoon closing time
Curriculum Days – Open 6:30 a.m. close 6:00 p.m. – Operate HCS only all are welcome
We reserve the right to adjust opening and closing times based upon enrollment needs.
A two week notice will be given anytime changes are being made.

SCHOOL VACATION WEEKS – Open in HCS only to all Fun Frontier Students
Min. 15 Students per day must be signed up to Open During Vacation Weeks.

DAILY OUTLINE OF ACTIVITIES/STRUCTURE
Mornings: Our Fun Frontier mornings are easy, relaxed and quiet. We provide items off the "cart" - legos - free draw/coloring and time to read. We clean up between 7:50 & 8 a.m. (at this time breakfast is offered if it needs to be eaten inside. At 8 a.m. we go outside or to the gym for some free play, playground fun or structured gym games. Dropping off after 8 a.m. may require you to use the Gym door entrance at HCS or bring to child to our outside location.
Afternoons: All students attending are given a Fun Frontier attendance card. This indicates that they will be coming to Fun Frontier for the afternoon. Students will arrive, hand us their card, sign-in, drop their things at their assigned location and settle in. If they have homework, this is required to be done with us (as a district run program) and will be done after arrival to Fun Frontier. Students who do not have homework will prepare for free time outside.
3:05 - 3:55: Homework, Snack, Free unstructured time - Playground, field, roundabout
3:55 - Clean-up get ready for Pow Wow
4:00 - 4:15 - Pow Wow - Question of the Day - Review of options for the afternoon. Students will have choice of at least two options. Additional options will be offered depending on staffing.
4:15 - 5:15: Activity Time
5:15 - 5:30: Clean up
5:30 - 6: Free Time for Kids
SNOW/EMERGENCY RELEASE DAYS/CLOSURES BEYOND OUR CONTROL:
You will be notified through procare when there is a delay or closure.
SCHOOL DELAYS: Weather Related or Other
1 to 2 hours – program will open at 8:00 a.m.
3-hour delay – program will open at 9:00 a.m.
Please note there are additional charges to attend if your child is enrolled part-time and attendance is not part of their usual schedule. $15 – 1 Child, $25 – 2 Children, $30-3 children. Payment due on arrival – please pay through uni-pay and print or email the receipt prior to attendance. Students who are not normally enrolled in the morning must arrive by 8:30 a.m.
PLEASE NOTIFY US THROUGH PROCARE OF YOUR CHILD’S ATTENDANCE ON THESE DAYS. We must be notified by 7 a.m. the morning of that your child will be attending. Drop-off without notice is not allowed. We need to be sure we have enough staff on to accommodate the additional drop-off. If you drop off without notice it will unfortunately force us to turn you away, which we do not want to do. If you have a balance due your child cannot attend any extra times or days. Please see Arrears section of the parent manual
WEATHER RELATED CLOSURES: If at any time the Superintendent closes school due to weather or any situation beyond our control the QRSD Fun Frontier Program will close as well.
Emergency Release FOR ANY REASON – will close one hour after school closes. There are NO EXCEPTIONS. Students must be picked up by a parent or other authorized person (please notify us if someone else is picking up). If your child will take the bus home please notify us immediately by email or phone call that your child will take the bus home. If we do not hear from you and your child is enrolled in Fun Frontier they will automatically come to us if it is a regularly scheduled day for them.
COMMUNICATION:
All communication is done through our Procare app. Once you are enrolled completely you will receive an invite from procare to set-up your account. If you are re-enrolling we will re-activate your Childs account in the system. You should go in and update all information. Newsletters, messages and texts are sent through this app. Messages are secure and may be sent in bulk, however responses and direct messages are only seen by the program and the parent.
