Welcome Message from Miss Locante!
Dear Pre-K 4 Families,
Welcome to a brand-new school year full of magic, wonder, and discovery! My name is Miss Gianna Locante, and I am truly blessed to be your child’s Pre-K 4 teacher. Like many Catholic school teachers, my very own Catholic education laid the foundation for both my faith and my love of teaching. Now, it is a joy to be on the other side of the teacher’s desk, sharing the kind of experiences that inspired me as a child. I continued my journey at Temple University, where I studied Early Childhood Education, and I am now a Pennsylvania-certified teacher with a heart that belongs to the early years of learning. Dreams really do come true!
A majority of my teaching experience—through my practicum, student teaching, and my teaching career—has been in Pre-K through second grade. These first years of learning are where my heart feels most at home. Last year, I had the special privilege of teaching second grade, a year laced with sacraments, including First Communion and Reconciliation. Watching children take these beautiful steps in their faith was inspiring, joyful, and deeply moving. Those moments reminded me every day that teaching is about more than academics; it is about nurturing hearts and guiding little ones closer to God.
Pre-K 4 is truly a magical time in a child’s life... a place where imaginations soar, every bug is a treasure, shoes sometimes end up on the wrong feet, and songs about the days of the week seem to stick forever! This is why Pre-K 4 is my happy place: a world where learning happens through play, curiosity is celebrated, and each day brings delightful surprises and joyful discoveries.
Our classroom will also be a place where faith and love grow alongside academics. We will talk to God, learn about His endless love, and explore how to be kind, caring, and faithful friends to one another.
Some of my happiest memories are from my own time in Pre-K 4 with my teachers, Mrs. McCabe and Mrs. Franklin. I remember making my very first friends, feeling like every day was a celebration, and creating crafts that are still tucked away in my family’s holiday decorations. I even performed in a “Chicka Chicka Boom Boom” play. I was the letter G! Those experiences taught me just how special these early years of school can be. Now, as a teacher, I hope to sprinkle the same joy, wonder, and lasting memories into your child’s Pre-K 4 journey.
Thank you for entrusting me with your child. I am so excited to get to know each of you and to work together to make this year one full of magic, learning, and blessings!
With joy and gratitude,
Miss Gianna Locante

𝄞 These are a few of my favorite things...
ㅤ♡ Crayola Crayon: Razzmatazz
ㅤ♡ Drink: A Strawberry Acai Lemonade Refresher from Starbucks or an iced oat milk latte from Tous les Jours
ㅤ♡ Restaurant: Cafe Carmela
ㅤ♡ Disney Movie: Lilo and Stitch! Ohana means family, and that family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten. Lilo reminds us to embrace our uniqueness and be ourselves, while Stitch shows that everyone can change with love, patience, and care. In our classroom, we are an ohana!
ㅤ♡ Author: Kevin Henkes! His mice, kittens, and other charming creatures experience the same emotions we do (i.e., nervousness, excitement, jealousy, joy) and remind us that it is okay to have big feelings! My favorite story of his is Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse.
ㅤ♡ Store: Target, TJ Maxx, or Hobby Lobby
