Talk about being ready and prepared

Go over getting on the bus

a) Students line up with hands to their side, listen to the chaperone on where to sit, stay in his seat - SAFE, CONSIDERATE, UNIFIED

Demonstrate behavior while on the bus:

a) Overview of lesson: “Today we are going to talk about how to be CAFFU while on a field trip”

b) Go over CAFFU expectations for trips

- Say “We are CONSIDERATE by… while on a field trip.” and proceed through all expectations for CAFFU on field trips & bus journeys

- Use voice level 1, sitting in your seat (not moving around, etc.), keeping hands and feet to self, listening to chaperone.

4) Arriving at destination

a) be grateful for experience (do not complain), keep eyes and ears open for instructions, voice level 0 (so they can hear instructions), listen to chaperone for further instructions, be respectful to environment at all times and follow buddy system

- Practice all of these behaviors with students after they have been modeled by teacher.
