The future of Dance at Pymble is very exciting with the new Dance Facility underway. Over the next year, we will continue to ensure our students are receiving quality dance training in a range of styles and levels, focusing on building strong, confident, and artistic dancers who can balance their academic studies with their passions.

Sign In and Out Process

Junior School (Kindergarten to Year 6)

Students can be dropped at the venue or walk from flagpole and proceed directly to their venue.
Students must be collected from the venue by a parent or carer.
If a student is not collected within 15 minutes, a parent will be called.

Secondary School (Year 7 to 12)

If a student has not arrived by the start of the workshop a parent will be contact.

Co-curricular Dance Streams

Onstage Stream

The Onstage Stream offers classes in a wide variety of styles that develop skills in technique, performance and work towards performing a routine at the Annual Showcase.

Side Stage Stream

The Side stage Stream offers classes in an array of styles that develop skills in technique and Dance physicality and endurance. Many of the classes in the Side stage stream develop the dancer for the stage. These classes do not perform at Annual Showcase.

Ballet Stream

The RAD Ballet Stream offers classes in the Royal Academy Ballet syllabus. The students may have the opportunity to complete a Class Award or an Examination and will perform at the Annual Showcase.

Performance Stream

The Performance Stream includes selective groups of talented and promising dancers who wish to excel, be challenged, and be a part of a dedicated Dance team. Entrance into a group is by audition only. All classes perform at Eisteddfods and the Annual Showcase.

VET in Dance Stream

The VET in Dance Stream offers eligible students CUA10120 Certificate I in Dance (Year 9), CUA20120 Certificate II in Dance (Year 10) and CUA30320 Certificate III in Assistant Dance Teaching (Year 11). This Nationally recognised certificate is delivered in partnership with EMPOWERDance.

Curriculum Dance

Curriculum Dance is offered at the College in Years 8, 10, 11 and 12 as an Academic Subject. In these courses students study Dance as an Artfrom in the areas of Performance, Composition and Appreciation.
