Get ready to tap into something exciting in 2026! We are thrilled to announce that Pymble Dance will be introducing the innovative and modern Tap Mode syllabus, a brand-new structure that breathes new energy into tap dance. The classes will blend traditional technique with contemporary choreography and original music, and we are setting the stage for a vibrant tap programme.
From 2026, students in Year 1 and above will begin learning the set work with us and for those who wish to pursue it further, the opportunity to take tap exams will be available in the future.
Join us as we step into this exciting new chapter of tap at Tap at Pymble.
Check out Tap Mode.
Our Secondary Technique classes will feature graded levels based on audition. This class focuses on developing strong Contemporary and Jazz technique through progressions and centre work that refine control, alignment, and precision.
As part of the Sidestage stream, this class will not perform at the Showcase, but students will complete a Technique Review each semester, receiving feedback to support their growth.
This class is compulsory for all Performance Stream students, with placements reviewed regularly to ensure students are challenged at the right level.
Classes will be allocated under the below names:

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new Preschool Dance Program, beginning in Term 1, 2026! Running on Saturdays between 9.30am and 11.45am, this exciting new offering will introduce our youngest dancers to the joy of movement through two fun-filled classes, Tinies Dance (two to three years old) and Pre-Junior Dance (four to five years old), in partnership with Lil Groovers.
These classes provide the perfect foundation for future progression into our Junior Dance levels (Kindergarten to Year 6). Open to siblings of current students, children of staff, and students enrolled to start at the College.
It’s a wonderful way for our youngest community members to start their dance journey building confidence, creativity, and a love of dance from the very beginning!
Registrations coming soon!
The Junior Performance Stream is expanding with the launch of our very first Hip Hop Crew and a Year 3 and 4 Lyrical Eisteddfod group, giving more young dancers the chance to shine, perform, and grow their artistry in competition.
It’s going to be a big year for our rising stars.
Dance isn’t just for the kids, it’s your turn to move! In 2026, we are excited to introduce Beginner Adult Dance Classes.
These classes offer a fun, social, and uplifting way to stay active while exploring different styles in a supportive, no-pressure environment. Expect great music, great company, and plenty of laughs as you rediscover the joy of dance!
Adult classes will be held on Monday evenings at 7.30 pm. Registrations open early 2026.
In 2026, we are excited to introduce Contemporary as a separate class from Lyrical, giving dancers the opportunity to explore both styles in greater depth.
Contemporary Dance focuses on movement principles drawn from Modern Dance, Classical Ballet, Jazz, and Improvisation developing strength, control, and expressive freedom through alignment, weight placement, and dynamic movement.
Lyrical Dance, on the other hand, remains a style that blends classical and contemporary influences, emphasising musicality, artistry, and emotional connection through flowing, melodic movement.
This exciting new structure allows dancers to refine their technique while expanding their versatility across two distinct styles.
World Dance is a vibrant, engaging class that introduces students to a diverse range of dance styles from around the world. Through movement, rhythm, and storytelling, students explore the unique traditions, music, and cultural significance behind dances. World Dance invites students to move, learn, and connect through the universal language of dance.
