For Pre-Junior Dance classes, a parent or carer must remain on the premises for the duration of the class and be available to collect their child from the studio at the end of the session.
Students who have not been collected within 15 minutes of the end of their class will be charged a Late pick up fee.
To ensure student safety and smooth transitions at the end of dance classes, please follow the procedures below:
Kindergarten to Year 2 students will change in their classrooms with support from Dance Staff.
Dance Staff will then accompany them to the Pymble Dance Centre for their class.
Dance Staff will walk Kindergarten to Year 2 students to the Centenary Carpark for carline pick-up.
A staff member will be present in the Centenary Carpark for carline collection and any student not collected within 10 minutes will then been taken to OSHC immediately.
If students have another scheduled activity after dance, designated staff (Walkers) will accompany them to that activity.
Students in Year 3 to 6 walk to the Centenary Carpark independently at the end of their class.
Parents are required to collect their daughters from outside Pymble Dance Centre for classes that conclude 5.30pm.
For the first week of Term 1, Dance Staff will walk all students to the Centenary Carpark. Once routines are established, Year 3 to 6 students will make this walk independently.
Year 3 and 4: May walk to the train station only if a signed permission form has been provided by a parent or carer to the Junior School Office.
Year 5 and 6: May walk to the train station without the need for permission.
We request that all Junior Year 3 to 6 students arrive at the Dance Centre already changed into their dance attire. They are required to change in their year areas and then make their way to the Pymble Dance Centre.
After dance class, Year 3 to 6 students are permitted to proceed to their next co-curricular activity without staff supervision, in accordance with the permissions outlined above.
