This Information booklet will provide you with all the necessary information about what we offer in our Ballet stream at the College. Our RAD Ballet grades are a part of our Dance Program and come under the Ballet Stream category. In 2025, we will again be offering the RAD Syllabus from ‘Pre-Primary in Dance’ to ‘Grade 5’ and the Vocational Grades ‘Intermediate Foundation’ to ‘Advanced One’.

The RAD offers an internationally recognised portfolio of examinations and assessments designed to encourage, motivate, and reward students of all ages and abilities, outlining a progressive structure for learning and achievement.
The graded syllabi provides a broad practical dance education developing the technical, musical and performance skills of the student. All classes will incorporate Classical Ballet with the addition of Character Dance for Grades 1 to 5 and pointe work for Vocational Grades.

Junior Ballet
Junior Open Ballet class - This class offers students the chance to participate in ballet if they can't commit to the two weekly syllabus classes. It's also an additional option for junior students who want to engage in more ballet throughout the week.
Transition to Pointe Class - A compulsory half hour additional transition to pointe class now added for Grade 5 (Year 6).
Secondary Vocational Ballet
Open Ballet will now not be compulsory but the students will be required to pick a compulsory supplement from the below choices.

Dance Conditioning - optional
Dance Pilates - optional
Pointe Class - compulsory
* Students must select one of the optional classes to suit their schedule. No exemptions will be granted.
Intermediate to Advanced 2 now have 30 minute separate pointe class.
