Mission Statement

TJMS Music Boosters is an organization of parents, family, and friends of TJ music students working to help the TJMS Music Department provide an enriching and fulfilling music program for the benefit of our children, our schools, and our community. 

To do this, TJMS Music Boosters raises funds, operates programs, and offers support to TJ Music Department staff. Fundraising events put on by TJ Music Boosters provide funds for events such as the annual musical, field trips, music lesson scholarships, tours, and other opportunities. Funds also provide instruments or other equipment needs, outside of district funding and when requested by TJ Music Department staff.

We need your support. Please consider attending at least one monthly TJ Music Boosters meeting, support your child’s fund raising events, and volunteer for music program events.

We recognize that music in education can:

• Provide a creative outlet

• Improve a student’s language and reasoning

• Keep students engaged in school

• Build self-confidence and a sense of self-worth
