By the end of 5th grade chorus, you will be able to...

• Sing music up to two parts with accompaniment

• Sing up to 2 parts without accompaniment

• Know the terminology and process of all musical symbols within the music you are performing

• Count with numbers simple time signatures of a level 2 out of 5

• Effectively articulate your own musical ideas using a general language of musical terms and definitions

• Improvise using rhythmic patterns

• Sight-sing melodic exercises using the pentatonic scale (do-sol) when given “Do”

• Describe different musical forms
