The past couple of weeks has revolved around perfecting our presentation. On Wednesday (March 2), we had yet another meeting with our school's administration. However, this was the meeting that marked the beginning of true progress. In the conference room we were surrounded by our two principals, the director of food services, the head of custodial staff, and the founder of the composting company.

We pitched our idea to skeptical eyes, eagerly awaiting signs of satisfaction. The end of our presentation only summoned a few questions - a good sign to me and my peers that we had considered varying perspectives. We then traveled out back to discuss the location of storage, ensuring surveillance of the area as well as easy access for staff.

As we await our presentation to the safety committee and eventually the school board to follow, our focus is mainly towards creating a foundation on social media and spreading the word. Our goal is to increase knowledge and awareness of students to decrease the effort once the project is fully implemented.
