Learn about types of colleges, and the types of college degrees they offer.
Certificate - concentrated field of expertise (courses range from 3 to 12 months long. Less expensive, but may not qualify for financial aid).
Associate's degree - Typically two year program, often more affordable than 4 year college, and credits are transfer friendly. Offered at community colleges, technical colleges, or online.
Bachelor's degree - Four year program (longer if you are a part-time student), out-of-state colleges will cost more than in-state colleges.
Learn about college tuition and fees (cost of attendance, FAFSA, merit or need-based scholarships, fee waivers, using Common App, etc).
Learn about scholarship details, eligibility requirements, and deadlines.
Learn how to work with teachers and counselors to complete applications.
