Don't know what you want to do for a career? The resources listed on this page can help you learn about your interests and which careers may fit your interest. Often knowing your career interest can help you make easier decisions about college. For example, a heart surgeon requires many years of college. Students who want to become an electrician, firefighter, or a paralegal do not have to take as many years of school but instead may only require a few years or certain certifications.
To help narrow down career paths, learn your interests, consider your talents, strengths, and weaknesses, and what's important to you. Gaining experience through volunteering, internships, jobs, CTE programs, or school clubs can help students decide what topics or subjects they gravitate or don't gravitate towards. These are especially important for students who want to enter workforce or trade/tech schools after high school.
