PHS @ Hopi Invite Aug. 30, 2022 @230PM

PHS Boys/Girls kicked off their XC Meet at Hopi. The Invite was to indicate where all teams and their runners stand going into the Fall Season. They all did a great job!  

PHS @ The Peaks Invite Sept. 03, 2022 @8AM

Pinon HS Boys and Girls competed in the Flagstaff Peaks Invitational. The following results were posted by Athletic.net: 

Mens Run (5,000 Meter Open Run)

Trent Begay came in 5th place with a time of 20:54, followed by the following runners and their times: 

Adrian Begay 21:31

Ivan Chee      22:47

Antonio Valencia 23:52

Sean Tso     32:39 

Logan Shorthair 37:11 

Girls Run (5,000 Meter Ascent Run)

Jewel Begay came in with a time of 34:33 in the Ascent Run.

PHS @ Window Rock Invite Sept. 08, 2022

PHS Boys/Girls XC traveled to Window Rock Invite. Both the boys and girls did an excellent job, coming out with awards. Also, the Boys XC Team placed 3rd at the Window Rock Invite, Congratulations Boys!

The following girls placed in this order:  

Clintiyah Tsosie 13th

Kabibe Yellowhair 23 

Kailia Begay 26th 

The girls placed 5th overall at the Invite. Good job girls!

PHS @ Canyon de Chelly Invite Sept. 10, 2022 

PHS Boys/Girls XC traveled to Chinle for the Canyon De Chelly Invite.  The results for the Boys team, came in 7th of the recorded 14 placed teams. The Girls team also ran a fantastic race. Good job to both teams. 

PHS @ 4 Corners Invite Sept. 21, 2022

Clintiyah Tsosie placed 6th and as a team they placed 6th, followed by Kabibe 30th, Phildeya Lee in 48th, Jewel Begaye 94th and Cale Lapahe concluded the team at 115th.

PHS @ Show Low Invite Sept. 21, 2022

PHS Boys/Girls XC traveled to Show Low for the Show Low Invite. Results are as followed, 

Varsity girls race- Kabibe Yellowhair came in 12th during varsity (missed medaling by 2 spots, 30seconds off), following Yellowhair was Amber Benally @19th, Phildeya Lee at 23rd. Kirah and Jewel followed in later after Lee out of 29 runners.  

In the Boys Open Race, Adian Bare placed 2nd with the time of 22:48 and Sean Tso placed 13th with the time of 29:33.

The Boys took 2nd place out of 7 teams. Marcus Klah placed 4th with the time of 18:30, Trent Begay placed 7th with the time of 19:06, Adrian Begay placed 12th with the time of 19:56, Ivan Chee placed 17th with the time of 20:31 , Milton Chee placed 19th with the time of 20:36, Antonio Valencia placed 25th with the time of 20:57 ,and Dean Klah placed 40th with the time of 24:53.
