You Are Not Forgotten (1992)

DESCRIPTION:  approx. 15-foot high by 100-foot  wide memorial mural honoring prisoners of war and those missing in action in the Southeast Asia region and Vietnam.

This 1992 memorial mural was the independent effort of Peter Stewart and includes the names of 2,273 missing service personnel.  Its 14-year presence on a Venice Beach street corner was undisturbed until graffiti vandalism in May 2016 damaged much of the lower half of the mural.Sources:  "Vandalized Venice Memorial To Be Repaired," Public Art in Public Places Blogspot, May 30, 2016."
