DESCRIPTION: 10-foot high by 60-foot wide acrylic mural
Blum's large mural pays tribute to firefighters by depicting six of them holding their equipment as an observer outside the scene looks on. Blum included images of Cal Fire (California Department of Forestry and Fire Prevention) and Riverside County Fire Department shields next to the scene. Blum was assisted by Bruce Carson, Kellie Pelligrini, and Julia Stratton.
The mural also includes the following community message:"IDYLLWILD IS GRATEFUL FOR THE MEN AND WOMEN FIREFIGHTERS FOR THEIR WILLINGNESS AND READINESS TO PUT THEMSELVES IN HARM'S WAY PROTECTING OUR WILDERNESS AND TRANQUIL COMMUNITY. THANK YOU."
