Instructions

1. Read "Man and Sea"

3. Man and Sea Create Task: As a group you are going to do a Hyperstudio animation of the myth found in the middle of Man and Sea. Decide who in your group is going to work as animators and who is going to work as script writers.

4. Read "Puaki"

5. Complete the Puaki task.


Weeks 5/6

WALT: Understand the theme of 'Identity' across a range of texts

Instructions

1. Read "Mata i Pusi" SJ 4.May.2015

2. Meet with Mrs. Moala to discuss the text and to dive deeper with some of the vocabulary.

3. Take a look at the Identity Site and complete the Vocabulary Task.

4. Read and discuss "Afakasi Chameleon"

5. Complete 2 of 3 learning tasks from the Identity Site

6. Post your learning task to your blog. Be sure to include 2-3 sentence task description.

7. Extra Time: Select one of the free choice texts from the bottom of the site and write a summary of the text on your blog.

Instructions

2. Meet with Mrs. Moala to discuss the text and to dive deeper with some of the vocabulary.

3. Complete the Learning Task with a partner.

4. Watch the video about Cockle Bay.

5. Read the article about Cockle Bay

5. CREATE: connect what you have learnt to educate others using show words when you complete the task.

4. Post your learning task to your blog. Be sure to include 2-3 sentence task description.

Instructions

1. Read and Listen to "Te Tiriti O Waitangi"

2. Meet with Mrs. Moala to discuss the text and to dive deeper with some of the vocabulary.

3. Complete the Learning Task with a partner.

4. Post your learning task to your blog. Be sure to include 2-3 sentence task description.

5. Complete the Treaty of Waitangi Comprehension Puzzle.

5. When finished with your puzzle task, take a picture of your puzzle and post it on your blog with a paragraph describing what you have learnt about the treaty this year. Be sure to also include a 2-3 sentence task description.
