Suggested Activities 

* Go outside and practise running, jumping, hopping, skipping, balancing 

* Build, build, build with whatever you have to hand - Lego, blocks, boxes

* Improve your perception and motor skills by completing puzzles, colouring in, doing dot-to-dots, cutting out, marching, drumming to music

* Learn to tie your shoe laces

* Collect leaves from 10 different non harmful plants and sort them in many different ways-  size, colour, shape, texture

* Make up a scavenger hunt with simple clues

* Grow some seeds and observe the changes when they are germinating. Either plant them in soil in a clear plastic bag or drop them on moistened cotton wool

* Have a teddy bears' picnic

* Cardboard Construction : Make a creation from your recyclable materials

* Get playful with balloon tennis

* Leaf rubbing collages

* Get messy with some splutter painting

* Design and make your own kite and learn how to fly it

* Make bird feeders. All you need is a toilet paper roll, bird seeds and peanut butter or honey

* Go on a backyard bug hunt

* Have some fun with play dough nature prints

* Make butter in a jar

* Set up a puppet theatre

* Explore creative movement with scarves and streamers

* Make and play with a Water Xylophone - must be glass bottles

* Play charades

* Design and set up a backyard obstacle course where you can go over, under, around, through etc

* Create a mini golf course in your backyard
