Teacher Videos 

Dear Year 2 Students, 

Here is a writing lesson on Alliteration delivered by Mrs Robinson, Room 16’s teacher.  Alliteration is when you use the same sound at the beginning of a chain of words. For example - Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers.

We hope you feel inspired to write lots of awesome, amazing alliteration and please do send them to your teachers.

Here is a video from Sacha in Room 5 reading a story called Rex written by Ursula Dubosarsky. 

Listen to the story and then write what adventure you would take Rex, the chameleon on. Use your imagination and be as creative as you like.

The important message here is to just give something a go, no matter how hard it may seem at first and never give up!  Writing can be so much fun, you just need to find the magic switch that inspires you to write the most amazing creations.  

 Here is a video from Sacha in Room 5 showing you something she has enjoyed doing during this lockdown. Maybe you would like to share a time that you have shown resilience and have never given up on a task during lockdown? Or you just want to share something you have enjoyed doing or creating.

You could write a story about it, take photos, or record a video and share this with your family, friends and/ or teacher.
