Treasurer - FAQ's
TREA$URER - Info and FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions). The following will probably answer any questions regarding pay, fees, and any other money issue. If you have any other questions, please contact me via email: psoa.kinney@gmail.com
Q: When will I get paid?
A: Ahhh - The question asked all the time! PSOA Policy has been and will continue to be as follows.
At each general membership meeting you will receive a check for all the games you did for the previous month. Payout sheets can be viewed in Arbiter so if you want a copy you can log in and print your own pay sheet for the period. (Note: pay sheets will be deleted from Arbiter prior to the next payout. The Treasurer does keep a copy.) Checks not picked up at the meeting are mailed as soon as possible after the meeting, usually within 5-10 days. For months where there isn’t a general membership meeting, your check will be mailed to you around the second week of the month for the preious months games.Q: What if I disagree with the payment shown on the league payout slips?
A: If you feel that there is a problem with your check as far as the number of games, your position during the game, etc., contact the assigner for that league and review the discrepancy. If an adjustment is necessary the assigner will contact the Treasurer with the correction. Unless it is a significant amount, the adjustment will show up on the next month’s payout.
If the check amount is different than the pay slip amount then contact the Treasurer.Q: What if I am overpaid?
A: In accordance with the By-Laws, it is your responsibility to notify the PSOA Treasurer and reimburse PSOA the amount overpaid. Normally the adjustment will be made in the next month’s payout, but you may need to reimburse PSOA by check immediately since not all referees have a check coming every month.Q: What if I lose my check and need to replace it?
A: Currently there is a $30 “stop payment” fee that you will be charged if you need to have a check re-issued. Under certain circumstances, checks can be re-issued by special request and approved by the board without making the “stop payment” request to the bank and $30 charge. However this may take up to 3 months to ensure the original check doesn’t clear the bank.Q: I have changed my address or email address. What should I do?
A: Please notify the PSOA Secretary and Treasurer as soon as possible and change it in Arbiter. The Arbiter System address and Payroll address are maintained separately.Q: What are the PSOA Dues and when do I have to pay them?
A: The Dues are as follows:
PSOA Dues: Adult/Youth Member - $15.00
HS Referee Dues - $ Whatever the current fees are.
The PSOA dues for Members are normally taken out in the January to April timeframe from one of your payouts. You will see it deducted on your check stub. HS Dues are taken out from your first High School payout during the Spring Season.Q: What do my dues pay for?
A: Postage, assessments, awards, office supplies, Arbiter License fees, Supplemental Insurance and other items needed for PSOA operations.
