PowerSchool is a student information system that allows HPS to manage a wide range of information about the student (e.g., grades, attendance, demographics, courses/classes, etc.) Powerschool is a VERY secure program and is made by the largest student information company in the world. As long as you protect your username and password, others will not be able to see your student’s information.

The parent portal is a way to provide parents real-time access to grades and attendance through PowerSchool. The access is provided to parents as another form of communication with teachers and is designed to support a student’s education.

You can see current teachers, current schedule including all courses, grades for current classes and the assignments that make up those grades, recorded absences and tardies, teacher comments – the comment is always the most current comment which remains the same until a new comment is made or the teacher clears current comments. Comments are optional.

Grading procedures will vary by school and teacher, please see the student handbook (TBS/HES) for more information.Please understand that teachers need adequate time to grade assignments and enter grades in their gradebook. Teachers will do their best to update grades and communicate progress in a timely manner.

How do I access PowerSchool Parent Portal?
PowerSchool is accessible from the HPS website. Each student/family will be issued a login id and password by the school. If you have 2 or more students enrolled at HPS, you will receive a separate login id and password for each student. If you are unsure about your login information, you may contact your child's counselor.
