Student Work

Community public ART Installation project!

HES ROCKS!

I have a sign at the front door entrance and teachers, students, staff and families are invited to paint a rock to drop off and create a colorful rock garden for us to enjoy when we reopen school.

What is most important is this can be done and delivered any time from now through the summer.

HES Rocks

Ms. Hoorneman's high school art classes have taken on the "Bromfield Student Quarantine Challenge", inspired by the Getty Museum's "Quarantine Challenge", to recreate a famous work of art using household objects. The Getty’s blog has a description of the challenge. Please enjoy this slideshow of student masterpieces!

Check back soon for the "Bromfield Staff Quarantine Challenge", which you can view here after May 26th.

We also invite the Harvard community to participate in the challenge! If you feel inspired, please send a Google slide with a picture of the original work of art, your photo recreation, and a caption with your name and information about the artwork to ehoorneman@psharvard.org by May 26th (you can also email your photos, but a Google slide is preferred)."

Logan Houston, a 10th grade music student at Bromfield, put together this multi-track work of Michael Jackson's "Beat It". He learned, recorded, and arranged this video on his own for fun during our closure from in-person meetings and we're very pleased to be able to share it with you!
