Special Thanks to those who showed up and helped coordinating this group from PSE
Pond Springs PTA joined PTAs from across Texas to advocate for increased public education funding and to say no to vouchers. We were honored to hear from State Representative John Bucy, who provided updates on current legislation and what we can do to advocate for public education funding. We were also happy to be joined by RRISD Superintendent Dr. Hafedh Azaiez.

We are planning to ride and eat lunch together.
When: Monday, Feb. 24th - all day
Where: start at PSE, go the Capitol
What: meet with other PTA members and with our elected officials

Join the PSE PTA at Texas PTA Rally Day!
We will be advocating on behalf of public education at the Capitol with our fellow PTAs from across Texas on February 24. It's important we turn out so our state leaders can hear how important public education is for Texas and stress the importance of a properly funded public education system.

One is for the Round Rock ISD Council of PTAs as they will be providing lunch that day, and another is for us as a PTA to know who many people to expect will be joining our group. Set legislative priorities for the upcoming 89th Session of the Texas Legislature.
Advocacy is at the heart of the PTA’s mission, and you represent the voice of Texas parents, students, teachers, and schools. From local campuses to the steps of the Capitol, your efforts drive meaningful change.
Even though the House and Senate will not convene for the next legislative session until January 2025, the Texas PTA Advocacy Committee and Board of Directors start preparing months in advance. We want to hear from YOU about key issues impacting public education and the well-being of children across the state.
Now is your chance to help shape the Texas PTA's legislative priorities for the 89th Session of the Texas Legislature. Please take a few moments to complete this survey by Friday, September 20, 2024. It should take less than 10 minutes of your time.
