Perkins Grant Funding
Perkins V reflects the 100-year federal commitment to Career and Technical Education (CTE) by providing federal support for CTE programs and focuses on improving the academic and technical achievement of CTE students, strengthening the connections between secondary and postsecondary education and improving accountability. Perkins V affords states and local communities the opportunity to implement a vision for CTE that uniquely supports the range of educational needs of students.
Strategies to Address in Perkins Plan:
Work-based Learning - Capitalize on existing CTE programs to deliver School Based Enterprise opportunities (ex. catering, farm to table, teacher cadet, school garden, school store, school cafe)
Size, Scope, & Quality and Progress Towards Implementing CTE Programs of Study - Create a plan and implement it for updating and replacing equipment, technology, materials, ets. to keep current with industry.
Recruitment, Retention and Training of Faculty and Staff - Utilize professional organizations and PD to enhance teacher retention and recruitment.
Career Advisement & Development - Professional development for teachers and counselors, across content in career advisement, research/examine best practices
Local Workforce Alignment - Collaborate with workforce and postsecondary partners to ensure programs are providing all oppportunites for CTE students (eg. IC's, internship, job shadow, etc.)

Purchase using a P-card from your school
After you have received the equipment/materials, or attended the conference, complete this FORM for reimbursement (you will need to ask your bookkeeper for the correct account number)
Funds will be transferred to your school account within 2 weeks.
