National Technical Honor Society
The National Technical Honor Society currently serves over 100,000 active members and nearly two million alumni since its inception in 1984. Awarding over $2 million in scholarships since 2005, NTHS honors the achievements of top CTE students, provides scholarships to encourage the pursuit of higher education, and cultivates excellence in today’s highly competitive, skilled workforce. For over 30 years, NTHS has been the acknowledged leader in the recognition of outstanding student achievement in career and technical education.
PSD NTHS Eligibility Requirements
For juniors & seniors to qualify for NTHS they must meet these 5 critera:
Cumulative high school G.P.A. of a 3.0 or higher
Completion of 20 credits within one of the following CTE pathways:
Alternative Cooperative Education (ACE)
Agriculture
Architecture and Construction
Business and Marketing
Computer Science
Culinary & Hospitality
Design & Multimedia Arts
Education & Human Services
Engineering (STEM)
Healthcare
Manufacturing
Visual Arts & Design
Complete 30 hours in a work-based learning experience or CTSO (Career Technical Student Organization) ie. DECA, FBLA, FCCLA, HOSA, SkillsUSA, TSA
Good standing in terms of attendance and character
Recommendation of a Career & Technical Education Teacher
