Tom Walton has degrees from MIT and NC State in Economics with a heavy concentration in Mathematics and a degree from Wheaton in Christian Leadership.
He worked for the Environmental Protection Agency for 37 years as an economist and web developer and retired in 2016.
He has taught economics in the Illinois Junior College System and has tutored Economics and Middle School Science at Providence for a total of 7 years. He has taught in churches most of his Christian life including Middle School Sunday School at KPIC for 5 years. He has been tutoring students in test preparation (SAT, PSAT, and ACT) and mathematics for Varsity Tutorials since May of 2019.
He became a Christian in January of 1969 in his junior year of college. He and his wife, Vaughan, have four children, whom they homeschooled for at least six years and one all the way through high school.
