Our team is capable of installation of large or small rolls of sod in the Charlottesville, Greene, Orange, Madison, Gordonsville, Zions Crossroads, and Rockingham areas! We prep the area first by removing all debris or old grass, then provide the area with a fresh skim of topsoil to provide nutrients for the new sod.
The sod we use is purchased locally in Orange County and grown for a minimum of two years prior to harvesting. Once the topsoil has been spread, then we perform installation of the sod.
The main difference between sod and seeding is you will get the instant gratification of grass versus seed taking 14 - 21 days to properly germinate and a 100% germinate rate is not likely the first time seeding a new area. When installing sod, there will be maintenance needed to ensure proper rooting and success, but don't worry our estimating team will provide you with instructions on what to do or what not to do!
