OUR STORY

Our owners Alec Butterworth and Samantha Morris were the original workforce of ProTech Lawn and Landscape that has since then added ProTech Farm and Nursery, which provides our community with a retail Garden Center, Wholesale Nursery, and a landscape company for our surrounding counties! They began the operations in 2015 as a one man, one mower, and one truck operation that quickly grew into a huge success with the assistance of our amazing staff! 

Both owners are locals to the area and extremely passionate about the industry! They enjoy assisting our community and landscapers in the area with all their gardening needs. Alec graduated from Virginia Tech University in 2013 with a degree in Landscape and Turfgrass Management, then went on to meet Samantha, who grew a love from the industry while assisting Alec along the way of their successful journey! Each of them and the staff of ProTech work day in and day out with other veterans in the industry to educate, learn, and adapt to changes as needed! Our team is constantly attending educational seminars as well as other opportunities within our line of work to ensure we are on top of the newest and most recent research! 

During the owners time off they enjoy spending time with their children Madelyn, Cade, and Noah! While they have three beautiful children, the family isn't complete without counting the family's companions Beau, Jenna and Bella, our company's mascots or as our customer's know as the sweetest labs around! Each member of the family enjoys the outdoors and loves to get dirty! If you visit, do not be surprised if you see one of the children or dogs assisting with our daily operations as they enjoy the industry as much as we do!
