All employees must take a 10 minute rest for each half day worked (2-4 hours). Generally, for a full 8 hour day, this means that a break should be taken towards the middle of the morning, and a break should be taken towards the middle of the afternoon. Most photographers take these breaks between sets of keys or once they have completed the dealership that they are working on. These 10 minute breaks aren't quite enough time to go somewhere. Most of the team grabs a snack or drink from their car, use the restroom, or check their personal phone during these rest periods.
Your 30-minute lunch must be taken before the start of your 5th hour of work. This is not our company policy, it's California law. For example, if you were to start at 8:00 am, you would need to take your lunch break by 12:59 pm. In order to avoid going over this time period, it is suggested that everyone take their lunch break as close to 12:00 pm as possible. Just like with the 10-minute breaks, you will want to do this when it's efficient to do so.
