Just like you, we can't predict the future. The travel habits of the 50,000 guests we see every years can't be 100% predicted. However, there are a few predictable patterns you should be aware of if you want to avoid the crowds:
- We do 90% of our business on weekends and holidays. Hence our reduced mid-week pricing. We encourage anyone who can do so to plan their trips for the weekdays. We can see over a thousand people on a good Saturday, but only 20 people on a Tuesday or Thursday.
- Christmas Vacation is also the start of the season for us. Typically we are constantly busy throughout the holidays. Coincidently the start of the season is also when we typically have the least amount of snow and we are still training staff. Expect this Christmas Break to be busy. It can't be helped.
- You probably want to visit us when we have tons of snow on the ground, sunny skies, and clear roads. So... does... everyone... else. If you are visiting us because the conditions are perfect for you, expect us to be busy.
- Although it is rare to sell out of tickets, it does happen a couple times each year; again, on holidays and weekends mostly, when conditions are "perfect" for you. There is nothing we can do about that, nor can we predict it. Our computers lock us out when we sell out of tubes, although this typically only happens on only the busiest of days, typically from 11 am to 3 pm.
