Some tracks have roads that split off the main path. Some are shorter than the other or others, or they might be the same distance and time. Choosing a shorter and quicker path can help improve your lap time. Most of the time, these shorter tracks are filled with more traffic than the other split or splits. Sometimes, the shorter tracks can take longer to pass because of very sharp turns, or a constant flow of traffic coming at your disposal. It's best if you try each route, and see which one is faster. If it's faster, stick with it.
