You probably know the basics of multiplayer. Each month there is a "season" that you can participate in and get blueprints for a select car. Depending on your multiplayer rating, the rewards could get better and better. For the month of October, you can earn the Holden Coupe 60, which requires 10 Rare blueprints to assemble. There are a total of FIVE (5) leagues that you can be in, with FOUR (4) tiers. Each tier has a certain range of ratings. Each race requires you to use a Season Ticket, granted by TLE's, Multiplayer rewards, and much more. You will get 4 tickets to start. They replenish after a few hours, and you can hold a maximum of 50. The current multiplayer season leagues are as follows:

If you manage to exceed the ratings for a tier, you'll earn 10 tokens. Every race you complete, you'll be rewarded Points, which can go towards many prizes such as:
Select your car, then select your boosters (if you want any), and then click NEXT. Then, you'll be joined in a group of up to 8 players. If clicked on, their gamer tags can be viewed showing their current Multiplayer Level, how many cars they have, the achievements earned, as well as their last time connected to Facebook (always the current date). Select your game mode, location, and laps. Sit back for a while. A timer will start counting down when there is four or more players, and no activity is detected. This timer is kinda buggy, as it will sometimes countdown "5, 4, 3, Starting race...". Be aware of Level 85 players. They are very skilled, and usually have very good cars. You will meet up with players around the world, from Levels 1 to 85. It's better to start at the car with the lowest rank in your inventory, just to make it a little easier for you. Once you get a feel for Multiplayer, start working your way up.
During races, you'll notice sometimes that knockdowns don't happen as easy or as quick. You will also respawn slightly faster in multiplayer racing. In addition, depending on your league, you have to finish in a certain spot to get Points. In the Challenger League (which I am currently at), I need to finish in third or better to save my Points. In the higher leagues, that bar gets raised higher.
Any class of car that is within an unspecified rank range will be matched with you. It could be a D-Class against an A-Class (if this is the case, it will probably be an SLK 55 Special Edition), like I did two races in a row the one night. I usually get paired with Countachs, GranTurismos, Survolts, maybe an M2, when I'm using the "Donk", if I'm lucky. But there are cars that really should NOT be paired with the lower cars, like the SLK 55 Special Edition and a Ferrari 308 GTS. That SLK will just stomp all over the Ferrari, even with a perfect race.
The way you jump up leagues is by gaining ranks by getting in the top spots in the race. The distribution of the rating points after a race was unclear. It could happen that someone with a high rating such as 1300 finishes in fourth places, and loses 6 points; while someone with a medium-high rating such as 1100 finishes third and adds 3 points; and someone with a rating of 980 places sixth and still gains one point. If you faced an opponent with a higher rating than you, winning the race would give a bigger rating increase. Many Asphalt 8 YouTubers recommend that if you are really doing bad in a race, you should exit the race. Yes, it's kinda like you are quitting, but if you want to keep your rank, quitting will only take off a couple points compared to losing a ton by trying to finish the race in dead last. If you do quit, your cumulative points that haven't been saved will be lost if you risked them for a bonus. If you get first place in a race, you normally get 45 points. If your car is part of the "Featured Vehicles", they'll have a points bonus, usually 25% (some cars can have a bonus of up to 50%). These featured cars usually are cars that are on sale, and refreshes in about a week, give or take.
