Elite vehicles were added back in March of 2016, and with great speed comes great responsibility. With Elite vehicles, you can fine-tune your vehicles' stats to unleash its full potential. Elite cars do raise some questions though.
WHY ARE CERTAIN CARS ELITE?
Certain cars have received the “Elite” treatment, which means that you can tweak certain stats to create your own custom ride. Most tune it for the top speed stat (top speed and nitro speed), essential to winning races. Keep in mind that they take time to tune, but at least they aren’t as long as assembling a blueprint car.
After a few races, the car will be depleted, and will require a tune-up. If you try to race with it with tune-up that is recommended, your rank will drop substantially, which means your upgrades take a hit. (Good news, though, as it won’t actually affect the upgrades. It just makes you lose the characteristics of the car.) This will require you to tune up the car. This cost a small amount of credits (usually 2,000 or so) to tune up the vehicle. Try not to use elite cars all the time, as it can be a credit hog, especially after around your first tune-ups.
YOU TOLD ME NOT TO USE THEM OFTEN. BUT WHY HAVE THE CAR?
Elite cars are good for events and multiplayer, if you have them MAX and PRO. I just recently assembled the Class C king, the Sbarro Sparta. The next best car is the Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG Racing Series. I use that car for events because of its high top speed and superior nitro duration. Although it has bad acceleration and handling, the car absolutely dominates on Sector 8. I can usually get through around four to five races before I have to tune it up again. Get it, but use it wisely.
DO PRICES INCREASE EVERY TUNE-UP?
Absolutely not. I’ve tuned-up my CLA45 too many times to even count, and it still costs the same 1,750 credits as the tune-up before. And before that tune-up. And before that one. And before that one. You get the jist.
ARE CERTAIN ELITE VEHICLES ALSO BLUEPRINT VEHICLES?
Yes. Vehicles such as the 1967 Chevrolet Impala, BMW M2, BXR Bailey Blade GT1, Icona Vulcano V12 Hybrid, and Lamborghini Aventador SV are blueprint-only cars, and they are also one of the few elite cars.
WHY ARE VEHICLES WITH THE ELITE STATUS SO EXPENSIVE TO UPGRADE?
Remember, elite vehicles have a specialized configuration that can allow you to tweak certain stats. A Geely GC9 will set you back 25,200 credits to upgrade its top speed to Level 2. The nanoFlowcell QUANTINO costs roughly 90,000 credits to upgrade the same stat. That’s 3.583 times the amount of the Geely.
