Probably the wildest styled car in the game, the ED Design Torq does explain what this car is strong at. TORQUE!!! That's because the ED Design Torq is a design study prototype for a self-driving race car. It's completely autonomous, which is pretty cool. It is powered by four electric motors, with total output at 500 horsepower and a face-warping 1,328 lb/ft of torque.
The Design Torq is a primarily acceleration and nitro-focused car that actually would set the ground for the Honda Integra Type-R and Porsche 959.
The Torq is the fastest accelerating out of all Class C vehicles, and is also quite nitro efficient as well, at 6/9/12. It does have really good drifting, but it will struggle in Sector 8 and Venice because of the tight turns.
On the flip side, the Torq has not very good top speed or handling figures. Its handling while on nitro is really bad, particularly because it is the car's basis as well as its long wheelbase. It also has a low speed-to-rank ratio, which at the MAX+PRO rank of 1562, it only goes 254.7 mph.
The Design Torq used to be great for multiplayer, but ever since the Audi R8 e-tron Special Edition came out, its completely taken the Design Torq out to the trash. But after the Fast Lane Update, the Design Torq actually became usable again, at times becoming completely dominant at the ranks of 1100-1300 against the McLaren M14A.
The ED Design Torq is a decent Class C car, and it works well for what it is, so I'd personally save up the 14 rare blueprints for this machine.
