Welcome to the Loburn School Home and School PTA Committee. We are an active group of parents, teachers and BOT representatives who work hard to raise funds, organise events and foster a strong and inclusive school community, for the benefit of all children at Loburn School Te Kura Aromauka.

What We Do

The aim of fundraising is to help provide extra resources and experiences for the children that the Ministry of Education budget does not cover. Some of the things we have fundraised for to date include:

• Additional teacher aide hours to support the focused learning of all tamariki at Loburn School Te Kura Aromauka

• Outdoor activities such as camps and field trips so that all families can afford to join in

• The operation of the school swimming pool 

• Kapa haka education and festival entries

• Additional school and library resources

• One-off hardship grants for school families in need

Funding is undertaken in the form of raffles, sausage sizzles, chocolate sales and larger events like quiz nights, trail rides, garage sales and market days.

Meetings and Membership

We hold our meetings every four weeks (or so), Monday nights at 7.30pm in the school library. We welcome new members at any time – we would love to hear your fundraising ideas, or just have your help with our existing events. You’re welcome to turn up for a meeting just to see what it’s all about, with absolutely no obligation. 

Our meeting dates for 2024 will be posted on our Facebook page and in the school newsletter well in advance of each meeting.
