Board of Trustees
Welcome to the the Loburn School Board of Trustees web page. The Board, like all school Boards under the Tomorrow's Schools program, is charged with governance of the school and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements. If you are interested in further information about the role of the Board a good source is the NZ School Trustees Association website that can be found at http://www.nzsta.org.nz/ or at the Ministry of Education site at http://www.minedu.govt.nz/Boards.aspx which is the Board section.

Bot Chairperson: Donna Harwood
Principal: Stuart Priddy
I have been the principal of Loburn School since 2003. In that time the roll has grown from 89 to its present roll of 180 students. My main role is overseeing the day to day management of the school, which includes personnel, property and finance. However, my main role is ensuring that our students are given quality teaching and learning opportunities and that our staff are supported to ensure they provide these opportunities.
Steve is a parent representative on the board who filled a casual vacancy in the second half of last year. The specific role he has taken on is that of 'Health and Safety' Rep. He is currently employed in the Air Transport sector as aircrew. Previously he has had experience as an aircraft technician and senior supervisor in the military, baggage handler, marketing team leader, operations controller, door to door salesman, horticultural labourer and as a pre marriage guidance counsellor. Steve and his wife Suzy have 4 boys, they moved to the district six and a half years ago and live nearby on a small block. At one stage all the boys were attending our school, before the elder two moved on to High School.
