HIGH TECH FAIR Pre-trip assignment

Students will work with a partner.

Each partnership will choose one HTF (High Tech Fair) presenter on which to do some research that will be presented to the class in a short 3-5 minute presentation. The object of the research is to provide an overview of the chosen entity, describe some of what they do, the tools and technologies they use and/or develop, and (help the class overall to be better prepared for the fair. The HTF is a unique opportunity to interact with professional scientists and engineers.  The benefits of the HTF will be much greater if we arrive prepared with some background knowledge of what will be there. We will know better which presenters we wish to focus on, what we want to learn and what questions we may want to ask. (Choice of presenter for this assignment will be based on a lottery system to avoid duplicates.)
