Federation Shared allows groups of users to share and store files across the Federation using Google Drive. These files are synchronised so that you can access them from any device.
Access Rights
The folders are managed by Primary Advantage and only Primary Advantage can determine the groups of staff and access rights. TIO cannot approve or create a user without Primary Advantage agreeing to this. Within the folders, users can add folders and documents. To obtain access to a folder, please email admin@primaryadvantage.hackney.sch.uk with your name, school and folder that you require access to.
Groups
All staff within the schools are allocated into groups. Depending on the group a member of staff has access to, they can only access the files that the group has permission to view. For example, the group ‘All Staff’ have access to the staff folder. All members of staff can create subfolders within the staff folder.
Groups need to take into account that files can be deleted, therefore care should be taken when deleting files. If a folder/file has been deleted accidentally, please email admin@primaryadvantage.hackney.sch.uk asking for the folder/file to be reinstated.
What to Avoid
Avoid using the drive as your own personal document storage. The purpose of the drive is to ensure all documents that are stored within folders are accessible, shared and used by all members of staff. If a document is confidential and is not meant to be seen by members of your group that you are allocated to, it should not be shared within the Federation Shared Drive. Remember that Federation Shared is for the whole of Primary Advantage to use, and care should be taken when adding documents/deleting documents
