The Yearly Planner Calendar is a strategic calendar that houses important Federation dates and events. Primary Advantage Central Staff, Headteachers and Finance & Admin Managers can view the events of this calendar as well as the version stored in the Google Federation Drive. It is everyone's responsibility to make themselves aware of up and coming events and activities in the Federation and to take this into account when planning your week.
All staff have their own calendars connected to your email account. This can be shared with other members of the federation to ensure thorough communication. All appointments, training and visitors and meetings that may impact on the week, should be updated in your calendar.
Please note that your account for your email and calendar should only be used for work purposes. You are expected to check your email account daily.
Communication between all staff must be professional at all times. Any conflicts that arise must be dealt with professionally. Abusive comments or actions are not tolerated. Disciplinary action will be taken if any member of staff is found to be communicating with others in such a manner.

All staff should complete the Absence Form if they are not going to attend work. This should be done between 7:00am and 8:00am.
All staff should contact their Line Manager by 3:00pm if the absence is likely to continue into the next day. All staff must meet with their line manager to have a Return to Work meeting following any absence.
All short-term absences must be self-certified (up to 7 calendar days inclusive) and a self certification form must be completed. This document also needs to be taken to the meeting with your line manager.
If an absence continues for more than 7 days, a doctor's certificate must be provided and it is the responsibility of the member of staff to phone in once a week to speak to their line manager or the Executive Principal to report on the progress of their illness. In cases where a member of staff has had a large rate of absences in the rolling year, they may be asked to provide a doctor's certificate for each subsequent absence.
Absence request forms are available below. Please ensure you give your line manager as much notice as possible given. Planned absences may be:
Medical Appointments that cannot be made out of school time
Courses
Meetings at other schools
Other Special Leave
Planned absences must also be recorded in the Primary Advantage Yearly Planner. It is staff member's responsibility.
Please note that routine and dental appointments should be made outside of term time.
Your line manager and the Executive Principal can authorise other forms of absence as paid or unpaid depending on the nature of the absence. These absences include:
Personal/Family reason
Compassionate leave
Dependency leave
Attending a wedding of a family member
Attending a religious ceremony
Own graduation
Please visit the Primary Advantage Intranet for copies of the forms.
After any period of absence, all staff are expected to complete the return to work form with their line manager. All staff members must see their line manager as soon as they return to work to complete the return to work form and provide a doctor's certificate where necessary.
You may be asked to discuss your absence. As part of our commitment to staff welfare, home visits to assist staff may be carried out if necessary.
All absences are recorded. These records are confidential.
