Course Description: 8th grade Algebra focuses on topics designed to prepare students for advanced high school algebra or geometry. Students will explore mathematics in the areas of The Number System, Expressions and Equations, Functions, Geometry, and Statistics and Probability; algebra students also focus on Modeling as a domain of mathematics.  The topics include: comparing linear and nonlinear equations, data analysis, working with functions, polynomials and quadratic functions, and modeling.
