Input Survey

Week of 4/25

During the week of 4/25/22, we distributed an initial input survey to administrators and teachers.

Below is a summary of the responses that we received.

We also pulled out some quotes from the survey responses that capture a few of the themes we saw represented:

“We need to focus on the most efficient ways of catching students up. We need to respond to the situation we are in. We need to be thinking about explicit, well organized, scaffolded, direct instruction. We need to focus on the foundational knowledge and skills across the grade levels.” -PPS Educator

Without student interest and relevant content, there will be no engagement. Without diversifying not just our curriculum, but our educational force's competence […] Culturally Affirming [instruction] is a long way off for most students [...].” -PPS Educator

"Learning experiences should be designed to incorporate students' lived experiences, provide them with authentic learning, related to their lives, and invite them into ownership of their learning.” -PPS Educator

“These changes will take a great deal of time, resources, and money to implement. I am hopeful that the vision will be backed and will happen for our students!” -PPS Instructional Coach
