One of the sub-goals in the Forward Together Strategic Plan that is tied to the "Develop an Integrated Instructional Framework" strategic outcome is to:
Backward map and build out the Developmental Continuum (PK–12) of the Graduate Portrait. Following this, develop corresponding performance-based assessments to demonstrate mastery, in alignment with the Instructional Framework, for all levels.
In partnership with many different teams and committees, including but not limited to the reImagined Student Intern Team, P-3 Advisory, Middle School Redesign Advisory, Instructional Framework Design Team, we've started to backwards map the Graduate Portrait domains.
The first step in this process has been building "I Can" and "I Need" statements for each grade band. This work is very much still in progress and we will share out drafts soon.
Our current thinking for connecting the Developmental Continuum to the Instructional Framework is to focus in on three of the Graduate Portrait domains that most closely align:
Inclusive and Collaborative Problem Solvers
Inquisitive Critical Thinkers with Deep Core Knowledge
Transformative Racial Equity Leaders
