Summary of themes from our discussions focused on resources.

Optimistic Closure responses:

Share in the chat a focus or intention that you have around the instructional framework for December:

  • Gather artifacts at my school

  • I need to start gathering artifacts

  • Continue to develop GLSA curriculum for DLI

  • Searching for scaffolds that support all students in accessing grade-level content in our building

  • Continue to collaborate with our administrators and TOSAs to deepen our understanding around GLSA so we can effectively support teachers.

  • Continue talking with other educators about what helps them feel successful.

  • Sharing with my colleagues that the IFW is the Tier I Instructional we can ACHIEVE at the high school level across all subjects and grade levels.

  • Support my team with gathering artifacts - videos and appreciate the dialogue around the key elements to include in videos.

  • Keep an eye out for artifacts and talking to teachers

  • Peer observations provide a low risk means of teachers see examples of excellent instruction linked to the IF.

  • Support my department to feel good about what they are doing and increase their expectations for their students

  • Cast a wider net with colleagues both in and outside of my building to collect artifacts

  • Reflect on what I’m doing that I might capture to share.

  • Watching for and trying to find ways to share the bright spots emerging in our classrooms and schools.

  • Keep an eye out for artifacts and teachers willing to share and talk about the work.

  • Keep students engage in grade level and standard aligned tasks to maintain structures and routines despite the different anxieties December may bring.

  • At my school we have been focused on 1.3 and are going to work on going deep into instructional routines for constructive student conversations as a scaffold for reading and writing about grade level texts

  • For me it's around access and scaffolding and helping shift teachers' mindsets that students are capable with appropriate scaffolding.
