Create a Google Doc with a table to organize your assignments. Include links, directions, and instructions for what to do when work is completed. Another option is to create a Google Slide deck, adding a slide for each day, by subjects, or tasks. Email a link to your Doc or slides to parents and students.
Google Classroom allows you to reach all of your students directly in one spot. You can post assignments, messages, links, and see the progress of your class as they complete their work. It is a good solution for collecting finished work too. Students can also communicate through discussion threads.
Google Sites is a good solution for packaging all of your content in one, easy to organize location (like this site) You can embed any Google App so it is visible on your page, including many web tools such as Padlet. You can also embed videos from YouTube or Google Drive.
Seesaw is an easy way for students to access content, share their work back with the teacher and classmates. It has built in video options easy for anyone to use.
Go simple! Use your phone camera to record a simple message for your students or a longer lesson. It's easy to save that video clip in your Google Drive (video tutorial) then add the video to an email, embed in a Google Slide, or a Website.
WeVideo is a programs that allows you to record your screen and voice as you speak. It can also include a video of you at the same time if desired. PUSD has the premium account for WeVideo which offers extra features for editing your video, including images, video clips, and music. You can save your videos to Google Drive, making it easy to add a link or embed your instruction to your communication method.
If you are wanting to hold office hours or meet digitally with students, Google Hangouts Meet is a great option. It allows multiple participants, screen sharing, and a chat feature for students to type their questions or comments rather than all speaking at once.
Office hours or a 'live' class sessions which include students may not be recorded due to data privacy regulations and student photo opt outs currently in PUSD.
Zoom is a web-based video conferencing tool with a local, desktop client and a mobile app that allows users to meet online, with or without video. Zoom users can collaborate on projects, and share or annotate on one another’s screens, all with one easy-to-use platform.
